What Israel is doing, with the backing of England, Germany, France & the USA [now even Canada] is genocide of Palestinians, as what was supposedly done to the Jews under Hitler

• 1947 British refer the 'Palestine problem' to the United Nations, which passes a resolution for the partition of Palestine

• December 29 1947  - 14 Arab Palestinians were killed by explosives planted by the right-wing Jewish militias, Irgun, in Bab al-Amoud, the largest & most important entrance into Jerusalem, also called the Damascus Gate & the Nablus Gate. A 2nd batch of explosives was planted in the same area the following day, killing 11 Palestinians & 2 Britons.

• Zionist militia, Haganah, attacked the Palestinian village of Jabal al -Shaikh killing 17 Palestinians; then returned the following day using grenades & machine guns, leaving 30 casualties among villagers, mostly women & children.

• April 14 1948  - 50 people out of 90 living in Nasir village, near Lake Tiberias, were killed when the Haganah attacked the village using machine guns against unarmed peasants

• 1948 The state of Israel is declared & the first Arab -Israeli war results, May 1948 to January 1949.

  PALESTINIANS FORCED OFF THEIR LAND

  & later subjected their prey to a military occupation by Israel  - condemned by the United Nations & most countries; in time, Britain & USA change their attitudes & support Israel's decisions; Israel is basically invincible to world criticism

• May 23 1948  - the Israeli army wiped out the al-Tantoura village by killing 71 of its inhabitants. The rest fled.

• July 11 1948  - the Israeli army murdered 426 Palestinian citizens in al-Lud city. The Haganah & the Stern Gang killed 176 of them in an ambush

• October 27 1948  - the Zionist leader Moshe Dayan led the 89th division of the Israeli army to attack the village of al-Dawayima, ruining the village & killing hundreds of its inhabitants

• October 14 1953  - Israeli army units, led by Ariel Sharon, swept into the village of Qibiya, near Ram Allah, killing dozens of villagers & destroying 56 houses, two schools & a mosque in a 32-hour operation

• In 1955, the Baghdad Pact, including Iraq Turkey, Pakistan, Iran & the UK was set up to counter the rise of Arab & other liberation movements in the Middle East & Asia.

• October 10 1956  - units of the Israeli army, backed by tanks & warplanes, attacked the Palestinian city of Qalqilya killing more than 60 civilians including women & children

• October 29 1956  - the Israeli army arrested Palestinian farmers returning to their homes in Kafr Qasim village. Israeli soldiers lined them up & executed them, alleging that they violated an Israeli-imposed curfew

• 1964 Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) is founded with the designation of liberating Palestine.

• 1967 - Israel vs. Palestine  - the Six Day War occurs, whereas

  Israel occupies Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, Jordon's West Bank & Syria's Golan Heights

• 1979 - the Camp David Accords, whereas Egypt signs a peace treaty with Israel & Israel withdraws from Sinai but not the controversial Gaza strip.

• 1982 Israel's Ariel Sharon invades Lebanon & is found responsible for the massacre of hundreds of Palestinians in Lebanon, unquestioned by the Western world - two refugee camps in Lebanon saw 800 civilians killed; the two camps were surrounded by Israeli tanks & civilians inside raped & executed during a 40-hour mass murder

• Rabbi, Dov Lior has publicly praised & eulogized Baruch Goldstein, an American Jewish settler who in 1994 mowed down 29 Arab worshippers praying at Hebron's Ibrahimi Mosque. Calling Goldstein a 'great saint', he said a 'thousand non-Jewish lives are not worth a Jew's fingernail'

•  February 25 1994  - the Jewish Zionist Baruch Goldstein burst into al -Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron with his machine gun & shot dead 29 Arab Muslim Palestinian worshippers

• July 17 1994  - Israel shoot 11 workers held at the Eretz checkpoint in the Gaza Strip

• April 18 1996  - 109 civilians in Lebanon were killed by Israeli shells while taking shelter in a UN-protected building in Qana  - part of the Grapes of Wrath operation ordered by prime minister of Israel Shimon Peres

• Again, one might question, in regards to creating ghettos, 'Are the Israelis doing to the  Palestinians what was done to them in the 1930's in Nazi Germany'

Damages on Gaza agricultural sector during latest Israeli attacks

The Palestinian Union of Agricultural Work Committees issued a statement on the initial damage to the infrastructure of the agricultural sector in the Gaza Strip following the recent invasions. According to the statement, "Israeli occupation forces left the earth scorched, a design to primarily destroy the livelihood of Palestinians, the infrastructure, and their ability to be economically self-sustaining. The Israeli terrorist occupiers intend to cut all sources of income for the Palestinian citizen."

The initial reports indicated that Israeli forces bulldozed another 2,200 dunams of agricultural land in the Gaza Strip. Israeli forces also destroyed at least 100 greenhouses, 10 sheep and chicken farms, and irrigation systems for more than 1,500 dunams of land.

Must of the destruction was concentrated east of Gaza City, in the Shafa Saurani region, including destroying 540 dunams of citrus and olive trees, several water wells and 400 dunams of trees planted to protect the area.

Further north in the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces have already almost entirely destroyed the area over the past several years, but in the last weeks bulldozed another 1,000 dunams of agricultural land, and the irrigation systems for an additional 300 dunams. They also destroyed 50 greenhouses.

In the central Strip's most devastated region under occupation, Al Mawasi, Israeli forces bulldozed 400 dunams of agricultural land, 48 greenhouses, and irrigation systems for 800 dunams of land, in addition to a number of farms.

This is the great legacy for the Palestinian farmer by which to remember the occupier, concluded the Union. The Union of Agricultural Work Committees says that the damage has affected the significantly affected so many farmers lives and those of their family, "however we cannot collapse under this dire situation."
