Revelation 17

An introduction & description of the great whore     

A continuance of the first five plagues

 

1: & THERE CAME ONE OF THE SEVEN ANGELS WHICH HAD THE SEVEN VIALS, & TALKED WITH ME, SAYING UNTO ME, COME HITHER; I WILL SHEW UNTO THEE THE JUDGMENT OF THE GREAT WHORE THAT SITTETH UPON MANY WATERS

This great woman, the Papacy, is later referred to as a city & she sits upon many waters - denoting nations & people, verse 15

 

2: WITH WHOM THE KINGS OF THE EARTH HAVE COMMITTED FORNICATION, & THE INHABITANTS OF THE EARTH HAVE BEEN MADE DRUNK WITH THE WINE OF HER FORNICATION

The fornications are Her lusts, which She has forced upon trendsetters

They were made drunk, stupefied by her passions & her enormous appetite. Made drunk is no different than anyone out of control of reasoning

Chapter 14:8 relates to this verse, only the mirrored image of Babylon was used

 

3: SO HE CARRIED ME AWAY IN THE SPIRIT INTO THE WILDERNESS: & I SAW A WOMAN SIT UPON A SCARLET COLORED BEAST, FULL OF NAMES OF BLASPHEMY, HAVING SEVEN HEADS & TEN HORNS        

'Into the wilderness' comes from chapter 12:14 - Christ's New Movement, complete with the same description, Rev.12:3 seven heads & ten horns.       

Her blasphemies have been dwelled upon long enough.

 

4: & THE WOMAN WAS ARRAYED IN PURPLE & SCARLET COLOUR, & DECKED WITH GOLD & PRECIOUS STONES & PEARLS, HAVING A GOLDEN CUP IN HER HAND FULL OF ABOMINATIONS & FILTHINESS OF HER FORNICATION

- the Mormons, one of the richest empires in North America, are steadily investing into businesses

- the Jehovah Witnesses are quickly gaining in the manner of the Mormons, door to door sales, if they have not already surpassed them

- the TV gods & their empires are constantly pilfering from the poor - using $ to enter heaven

- even the Mennonite Empire have used donations to create businesses - as have some Hutterites

- but the Papacy has always controlled the largest of Christian religious wealth, - is nourished by Satan for 1260 years from previous chapters & her material wealth accelerates.  It would take volumes to list the Catholic assets & the forever increasing other businesses

- her daughters learned well from her

p. 12; 'Though the Vatican is only the size of a golf-course, 

In the center of the piazza is the 322 ton, 132 foot high obelisk of Caligula'

P. 13 '...statue of St. Peter. It is robed in a cape of gold brocade & crowned with a jeweled tiara. The extended right foot has been worn smooth by the kisses of their predecessors - popes. It is a reminder of quiet & recent times when a pope, in audience, was obliged to leave his foot on a convenient cushion for visitors to kiss.'  

P. 21 'Every pontiff up to & including the 19th century condemned the taking of interest on loans, (usury), under any circumstances.....yet today the Vatican has its own bank, established in 1942 by Pius XII, which has recently been the focus of terrible financial scandals...'  

p.22 '...Martyr's tomb. It is lit today as on every day by 93 lamps in triple clusters; its walls & floors are covered with jasper, agate & porphyry.'  

P.23 punishment in 1438 '...a dozen pearls were found to be missing from the reliquaries as well as two rubies of 47 & 48 carats, a sapphire & three large diamonds. The Venetian's pearl, too, had been snatched.... The culprits were soon traced. Two cousins confessed to hiding their booty in the home of their uncle. They became Roman sport. As a climax to a carnival in the piazza of St John Lateran, the two young men had their right hands chopped off before they were burned. Their uncle, a mere receiver, was treated more leniently. After being prodded with red hot tongs, he was hanged.'  

p. 26 'Today, his vicar inhabits a palace with 11,000 rooms. & then there is Castelgandolfo, overlooking the Ablan Lake, where the pontiffs go to escape the summer's heat. Beautiful Castelgandolfo, slightly larger than the Vatican....

 

Jesus renounced possessions. He constantly taught: 'Go sell all thou hast & give to the poor, then follow me.'

The Catholic empire does not invested into humanity

Purple denotes her riches & the wealth that has been hoarded throughout the centuries - the colors so often associated with priestly robes & the rich in other countries.

Articles like the following, already mentioned, would never have occurred had his teaching been practiced by the very ones claiming His Ways as their ways:

& not so-much questioning the accountant, but more so towards 'where in hell did they get such an amount to invest'?

How would Mother Teresa have used such an amount?

Was $100 million the total of their possible investment? Some financial help for those in need turned into greed.

Why would they have not invested in the world needy, rather than the mall - THE WAY OF THEIR LEADER, CHRIST?

NUNS! What does this say for priests & others up the line - many fallaciously believe that Nuns & Priests take a vow to denounce material goods [including cash] - that they proclaim to take a vow of perpetual poverty

 

5:& UPON HER FOREHEAD WAS A NAME WRITTEN, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS & ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH        

A repeat of the mirrored image of chapter twelve now includes her daughters - the harlots being the Reformation

 

6: & I SAW THE WOMAN DRUNKEN WITH THE BLOOD OF THE SAINTS, & WITH THE BLOOD OF THE MARTYRS OF JESUS: & WHEN I SAW HER, I WONDERED WITH GREAT ADMIRATION

John looks with great disbelief - amazement. How could any empire have exceeded that of the Roman Empire? 

Anyone who crossed her doctrines was guilty of blasphemy & death was the usual outcome.

Christ is very solid on children - mess with them & you mess with HIM - children of past years & today, who were subjected to many Christian leaders' sexual abuses, are now exposing these pedophiles at alarming rates - what has always been the perfect hiding place for these types is now steadily coming to the surface. Many confused angry adults are now opening windows to what has transpired through the Christian ministries. The pedophile's domain is longer their Garden of Eden

 

7: & THE ANGEL SAID UNTO ME, WHEREFORE DIDST THOU MARVEL? I WILL TELL THEE THE MYSTERY OF THE WOMAN, & OF THE BEAST THAT CARRIETH HER, WHICH HATH THE SEVEN HEADS & TEN HORNS     

Again, chapter twelve's beast is described - the beast carries Her, the mother church, & Her daughters

 

8: THE BEAST THAT THOU SAWEST

WAS, & IS NOT;

& SHALL ASCEND OUT OF THE BOTTOMLESS PIT, & GO INTO PERDITION:

& THEY THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH SHALL WONDER, WHOSE NAMES WERE NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, WHEN THEY BEHOLD THE BEAST THAT

WAS, & IS NOT, & YET IS  

Perdition is utter destruction, as are the plagues of chapter 16, 'perfere' meaning to destroy.       

This beast rises out of the bottomless pit & does exterminate.

- 1500 years of Christianity is saturated with bloodshed, blasphemies, greed & self-importance       

The beast was in the synagogue & shattered what was the virtuous beginning with bloodshed under the Joshua history.

 - it then took hold of the Roman Empire to annihilate the man-child, Christ, & His eventual Christian movement, as well as finishing off Judaism.

- finally it infiltrated the Christianity.        

Again the beast was, & is not & yet is - the beast is not noticed while doing its evil - deceives the world.

 

9: & HERE IS THE MIND WHICH HATH WISDOM. THE SEVEN HEADS ARE SEVEN MOUNTAINS, ON WHICH THE WOMAN SITTETH   

Rome is known as 'The Seven Mountains' which houses the Vatican's seat

 

10: & THERE ARE SEVEN KINGS: FIVE ARE FALLEN,

Rome is the only nation which exaction can be made as follows: it did have seven kings - rulers - & In John's days, five had fallen:        

1 kings;

2 consular - leaders elected by council;

3 decimvir - ten magistrates governing ancient times of Rome;

4 dictator - appointed by a senate of Rome;

5 triumvirate - the governing body of three.

 

& ONE IS, & THE OTHER IS NOT YET COME; & WHEN HE COMETH, HE MUST CONTINUE A SHORT SPACE        

6 Imperial - empire acquired - which was the reign of John's day, Caesar;        

7 the Exarch of Ravenna which, eventually, would be the bishop immediately beneath the emperor

- the bishop had more influence than the emperor, who only reigned a short time before Rome's destruction - the two ruled Rome, but more respect was rendered to the church than the emperor

 

11: THE BEAST THAT WAS, & IS NOT, EVEN HE IS THE EIGHTH, & IS OF THE SEVEN, & GOETH INTO PERDITION

The papacy takes the form of the Exarch of Ravenna [spoken of in the past] which is of the seventh & is the eighth, & does go into perdition & does decimate - in a sense, shared the ruling, then took over completely

 

12: & THE TEN HORNS WHICH THOU SAWEST ARE TEN KINGS, WHICH HAVE RECEIVED NO KINGDOM AS YET; BUT RECEIVE POWER AS KINGS ONE HOUR WITH THE BEAST        

One hour, here, is not of time - translated to a space of time.       

Each of the 10 horns/rulers conquerors add their strength to her, but they do not reign; - the Huns - the Ostrogoths - the Visigoths - the Franks - the Vandals - the Suevi - the Burgundians - the Heruli - the Anglosaxons - the Lombards       

Machiavelli, The History of Florence, gives an incredible historical account of each of these who lived with her, converted to her ways, adding their strength to hers        

Gibbon detail - in 782, Charlemagne had taken four & one half thousand Saxon prisoners & beheaded them on the banks of the river Aller

 

13: THESE HAVE ONE MIND, & SHALL GIVE THEIR POWER & STRENGTH UNTO THE BEAST. 14: THESE SHALL MAKE WAR WITH THE LAMB, & THE LAMB SHALL OVERCOME THEM: FOR HE IS LORD OF LORDS, & KING OF KINGS: & THEY THAT ARE WITH HIM ARE CALLED, & CHOSEN & FAITHFUL        

These conquerors shall add their strength to the papacy & go Her ways, against the Way of Christ.

 

15: & HE SAITH UNTO ME,

THE WATERS WHICH THOU SAWEST, WHERE THE WHORE SITTETH, ARE

PEOPLES, & MULTITUDES, & NATIONS, & TONGUES.

16: & THE TEN HORNS WHICH THOU SAWEST UPON THE BEAST, THESE SHALL HATE THE WHORE, & SHALL MAKE HER DESOLATE & NAKED, & SHALL EAT HER FLESH, & BURN HER WITH FIRE       

The ten leading nations, the horns/rulers, shall eventually turn on Her

 

17: FOR GOD HATH PUT IN THEIR HEARTS TO FULFILL HIS WILL, & TO AGREE, & GIVE THEIR KINGDOM UNTO THE BEAST, UNTIL THE WORDS OF GOD SHALL BE FULFILLED        

Without a doubt, She shall end as She began; the Law, in effect, must be fulfilled

 

18: & THE WOMAN WHICH THOU SAWEST IS THAT GREAT CITY, WHICH REIGNETH OVER THE KINGS OF THE EARTH.
