Revelation 13

666 BEAST UNMASKED

 

1: & I STOOD UPON THE SAND OF THE SEA, & SAW A BEAST RISE UP OUT OF THE SEA, HAVING SEVEN HEADS & TEN HORNS,

& UPON HIS HORNS TEN CROWNS, & UPON HIS HEADS THE NAME OF BLASPHEMY

• This beast [not too much different from the next beast that comes up from the land] rises up from the sea - from the land is to modify what is; to rise from the sea to land is to give birth        

• The seven heads are a distinct feature to this beast shown & defined in chapter 17:9 as THE SEVEN MOUNTAINS - the TRADEMARK OF ROME

• Horns are already defined as rulers

 

2: & THE BEAST WHICH I SAW WAS LIKE UNTO A LEOPARD, & HIS FEET WERE AS THE FEET OF A BEAR, & HIS MOUTH AS THE MOUTH OF A LION: & THE DRAGON GAVE HIM HIS POWER, & HIS SEAT, & GREAT AUTHORITY       

• The dragon - the devil - gave the same beast its strength    

• The beast & the dragon are not identical, but have merged as one;  it has the short deadly spurts & velocity of the leopard; the stability of the sturdy bear; the mighty roar of the dominant king of the jungle, the lion       

SATAN IS NOT THE 666 BEAST - at least not directly

 

3: & I SAW ONE OF HIS HEADS AS IT WERE WOUNDED TO DEATH; & HIS DEADLY WOUND WAS HEALED: & ALL THE WORLD WONDERED AFTER THE BEAST        

• Rome was terminated & in a sense, Christianity should have been eradicated as well - instead the Papacy suffered great wounds, but became mightier with each assault

 

4: & THEY WORSHIPPED THE DRAGON WHICH GAVE POWER UNTO THE BEAST: & THEY WORSHIPPED THE BEAST, SAYING, WHO IS LIKE UNTO THE BEAST?

WHO IS ABLE TO MAKE WAR WITH HIM?        

• The people are crying/praying for God's help in slowing down her might & bloodlust

• & Islam will come & prove no better than she, just slow her down

• - who was able to make war with the papacy other than Mohammed's followers & the Reformation? Yet they could not annihilate her

• BY IDOLIZING THIS BEAST, & HIS SIGN, THE PEOPLE ARE WORSHIPPING THE DEVIL INDIRECTLY

 

5: & THERE WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM A MOUTH SPEAKING GREAT THINGS & BLASPHEMIES; & POWER WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM TO CONTINUE FORTY & TWO MONTHS        

• obviously teaching the followers sin

• Smyrna - direction - 42 months x 30 days, 1260 years

 

6: & HE OPENED HIS MOUTH IN BLASPHEMY AGAINST GOD, TO BLASPHEME HIS NAME, & HIS TABERNACLE, & THEM THAT DWELL IN HEAVEN. 7: & IT WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM TO MAKE WAR WITH THE SAINTS, & TO OVERCOME THEM: & POWER WAS GIVEN HIM OVER ALL KINDREDS, & TONGUES, & NATIONS        

• IT HAD THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD AT ITS/HER/HIS FEET & TAUGHT BLASPHEMIES TO THE FOLLOWERS - TEACHING WRONGS AS RIGHTS

 

8: & ALL THAT DWELL UPON THE EARTH SHALL WORSHIP HIM, WHOSE NAMES ARE NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE OF THE LAMB SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.

9: IF ANY MAN HAVE AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR.

10: HE THAT LEADETH INTO CAPTIVITY SHALL GO INTO CAPTIVITY: HE THAT KILLETH WITH THE SWORD MUST BE KILLED WITH THE SWORD

• The LAW of God is in effect, what goes around does comes around

• - Galatians 6:7 BE NOT DECEIVED; GOD IS NOT MOCKED: FOR WHATSOEVER A MAN SOWETH, THAT SHALL HE ALSO REAP.  

• Genesis 9:6 WHOSO SHEDDETH MAN'S BLOOD, BY MAN SHALL HIS BLOOD BE SHED; FOR IN THE IMAGE OF GOD, MADE HE MAN - not just one race in the Creator's image, but all races

• The LAW must be fulfilled

• As ugly as it is to remark on: Joshua created the same genocide that Hitler did, & it did come around

• Ezekiel 18:32 FOR I HAVE NO PLEASURE IN THE DEATH OF HIM THAT DIETH, SAITH THE LORD GOD.

 

...HERE IS THE PATIENCE & THE FAITH OF THE SAINTS        

• chapter 6:11 those who have been killed by the beast are crying out for vengeance & are told to wait another season

11: & I BEHELD ANOTHER BEAST COMING UP OUT OF THE EARTH; & HE HAD TWO HORNS

LIKE A LAMB,

& HE SPAKE AS A DRAGON       

• This beast is like that which just passed; it shows no heads, yet has two horns without crowns; it is not described with anything but being another beast, like two apples from the same tree  

• - this beast grew from what already existed, the Roman Empire        

• Two horns like a lamb, showing it talks of Christ's ways, but speaks the words of the dragon; the two horns

• - like a Lamb, but not the Lamb - is what Christianity has become since its pure inauguration [the Catholic Empire & the Reformation]

• Rev 17 confirms 'SHE' - THE WHORE - SITS UPON THE BEAST

 

12: & HE EXERCISETH ALL THE POWER OF THE FIRST BEAST BEFORE HIM, & CAUSETH THE EARTH & THEM WHICH DWELL THEREIN TO WORSHIP THE FIRST BEAST, WHOSE DEADLY WOUND WAS HEALED        

• Christianity should have suffered the fate of the Roman Empire but took its place & eventually demanded all that Rome demanded, plus a lot more        

• In a sense, the Roman Empire did not die; just changed names & the Gentiles took the place of Jews to become Christians - thus the wound was healed

 

13: & HE DOETH GREAT WONDERS, SO THAT HE MAKETH FIRE COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN ON THE EARTH IN THE SIGHT OF MEN,

14: & DECEIVETH THEM THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH, BY THE MEANS OF THOSE MIRACLES WHICH HE HAD POWER TO DO IN THE SIGHT OF THE BEAST; SAYING TO THEM THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH, THAT THEY SHOULD MAKE AN IMAGE TO THE BEAST, WHICH HAD THE WOUND BY A SWORD, & DID LIVE.

15: & HE HAD POWER TO GIVE LIFE UNTO THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST, THAT THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST SHOULD BOTH SPEAK, & CAUSE THAT AS MANY AS WOULD NOT WORSHIP THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST SHOULD BE KILLED.

16: & HE CAUSETH ALL, BOTH SMALL & GREAT, RICH & POOR, FREE & BOND, TO RECEIVE A MARK IN THEIR RIGHT HAND, OR IN THEIR FOREHEADS:       

• they made an image alright, the blasphemous cross - & it did have power - followers kneeled & kiss & caressed the icon of Christ's humiliation; those who did not embrace the cross were considered heathens & executed, usually thru torture

• mostly those, far out of the papacy's reach, escaped. [The Catholic, then & now, will listen only to their Papacy's doctrines & her demands even if it goes against God's Commandments]

• - the poor needed a reason to live; the rich dared not infuriate the church

• - those imprisoned had nothing left but the faith, which was coerced unto them

• - the free had to adhere to the church to stay free

 

17: & THAT NO MAN MIGHT BUY OR SELL, SAVE HE THAT HAD THE MARK, OR THE NAME OF THE BEAST, OF THE NUMBER OF HIS NAME.

18: HERE IS WISDOM. LET HIM THAT HATH UNDERSTANDING COUNT THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST: FOR IT IS

THE NUMBER OF A MAN

 & HIS NUMBER IS

SIX HUNDRED THREESCORE & SIX

• Revelation 18:13 - THE VOICE OF THE BRIDEGROOM & OF THE BRIDE SHALL BE HEARD NO MORE AT ALL IN THEE  shows the direction of this warning 

• [Any name can be forced into these symbols - Hitler for example - A=100 B=102 C=103 etc]

• THIS BEAST IS NOT A MAN - BUT BEARS THE NUMBER OF A MAN       

• the number is the designation of a Man, NOT THE BEAST     

• The GREEK LETTER 'X' - as in X-Mas - had only one translation, & that was the combination of two letters 'CH';  the Holy Bible, The World Publishing Company, Cleveland & New York, both 'ch' and 'th' are underlined letters as they are one

• GREEK NUMERAL FOR THE LETTER 'X' IS 600

• The combination 'ch' takes on a value of 600        

• Christ's name easily takes on this characterization (RIST totaling 66)

• THE MARK, THE IMAGE, IS THE CROSS
