Revelation 12

 

SATAN'S RESIDENCE

 

1: & A GREAT SIGN APPEARED IN HEAVEN, A WOMAN CLOTHED WITH THE SUN, & THE MOON UNDER HER FEET, & ON HER HEAD A CROWN OF TWELVE STARS;

2: & BEING WITH CHILD CRIED, BEING IN TRAVAIL & IN PAIN TO BE DELIVERED

Woman give birth - to give birth to a new church cannot be from man.

Man can only change what has already created

This woman is the second of four women used in Revelation - Jezebel, 2:20; the harlot, 17:4; & the wife of 19:7.

Type of woman equals type of church [Ezekiel 23:2-4 & Revelation 17:3-6, 15, & 18]

 Rev. 17:18 & THE WOMAN THAT YOU SAW IS THE GREAT CITY, WHICH REIGNS OVER THE KINGS OF THE EARTH

The Vatican WHICH SITS UPON THE SEVEN MOUNTAINS HAS ALWAYS BEEN DESIGNATED AS ROME

- became a city, February 11, 1929, & was generated from the great city Rome

- Rev 17:9, 'She' is shown with seven heads which designate Rome, complete with the seven & seventh/eighth kings - rulers

The twelve disciples are the twelve stars, & the child she was paining to deliver is the New Jewish Movement - one day to be titled Christianity

One could question what existed in the Old Movement, Judaism, to created the atmosphere for so many Jews joined the New Movement under Christ & then question why they suddenly stopped converting

 

3: & THERE APPEARED ANOTHER SIGN IN HEAVEN, & BEHOLD A GREAT RED DRAGON, HAVING SEVEN HEADS & TEN HORNS, & ON HIS HEAD SEVEN DIADEMS, [A CROWN AS A SIGN OF ROYALTY OR ROYAL POWER OR DIGNITY]

 

Horns are rulers, Rev.17:12

This dragon is a great dragon with seven heads & ten horns, wearing seven crowns - rulers                 

The ten horns [all considered Roman] are the ten countries which would eventually be the division of the once mighty Rome: Italy - Greece - Africa - Spain - France - Germany - England - Asia Minor - Israel - & even all of Russia [the barbarians from the north], the future Slavs      

The seven heads that would create the eventual woman with the beast are: the Northern Barbarians - the Goths - the Vandals - Attila the Hun - Odeacer - the Ostrogoths - the Eunuch Narses. Each added his strength to her with each conquest of Rome - many become Christians        

Dragon signals Satan controlled        

Chapter thirteen's beast has ten horns with ten heads & ten crowns - somewhat different than this one, yet is the same, in that they both have seven heads & ten horns - only the crowns move       

'His' head is used, denoting the beast - but still the same beast of Rev.17:3 showing John looking at her in the wilderness. She sits upon the beast with seven heads & ten horns;  Rev. 17:7 She/it has the same number of heads & horns

Chapter 17 defines the heads & Her address

 

4: & HIS TAIL DREW THE THIRD PART OF THE STARS OF HEAVEN, & CAST THEM TO THE EARTH: & THE DRAGON STOOD BEFORE THE WOMAN WHICH WAS ABOUT TO BE DELIVERED, THAT WHEN SHE BROUGHT FORTH HURT CHILD HE MIGHT DEVOUR IT. 5: & SHE BROUGHT FORTH A MAN CHILD, WHO WAS TO RULE ALL NATIONS WITH A ROD OF IRON: & HER CHILD WAS CAUGHT AWAY TO GOD, & TO HIS THRONE

The Christian church evolved into what it is today, complete with the man-child - Xrist        

Satan tried to rid the earth of Xrist - of the inevitable Xristianity when He was about to be delivered [if Matt 2:16-18, slaughter of the infants is true]       

Christ had to be born in the manner He was to hide from Satan's wrath - which ruled the Earth - that failing, it went after Christ's people through persecution via Rome - that also failing, it infiltrated the church [the new movement] as it did with the synagogue & is still deceiving the whole world [where else is the greatest place to deceive the world?]

The Jews had three classes of rulers, kings, priests &/or Sanhedrin       

This beast - Rome, now called the dragon - draws a third part of the stars

When Judea became a Roman province, 63 years before Christ's arrival, the kings were taken away - a third of the stars no longer existed

 

6: & THE WOMAN FLED TO THE WILDERNESS, WHERE SHE HATH A PLACE PREPARED OF GOD, THAT THEY SHOULD FEED HER THERE A THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED & THREESCORE DAYS.

1260 years, written in another form, signifying the direction

It is the Movement, which flees into the wilderness to be fed throughout these years

 

7: & THERE WAS WAR IN HEAVEN: MICHAEL & HIS ANGELS FOUGHT TO WAR AGAINST THE DRAGON; & THE DRAGON FOUGHT & HIS ANGELS

Many fanatics suggest Christ could been Michael 'Who is like God,' - regardless, this angel has its own angel following & fought the dragon, Satan

 

There may also be rationality in believing that Christ is the figure in the Moses' legend. 'Moses is spoken of as a likeness of Christ:

Moses is the only character of Old Testament to whom Christ expressively likens himself: 'Moses wrote of me

Christ was like Moses, the great prophet of the people the last, as Moses was the first - Rev. 1:8 - I am alpha & omega, the beginning & the ending, saith the Lord, which is, & which was, & which is to come, the almighty

Christ, like Moses, is a lawgiver: 'Him shall ye hear.'

Christ, like Moses, was a prophet out of the midst of the nation, 'from their brethren' - as Moses, was the entire representative of his people, feeling for them more than for himself, absorbed in their interests, hopes & fears, so, with reverence be it said, was Christ.

In He. 3:1-19; 12:24-29; Acts 7:37, Christ is described, though more obscurely, as the Moses of the new dispensation - as the apostle or messenger or mediator of God to the people, as the controller & leader of the flock or household of God.

The details of their lives are somewhat compared. Acts 7:24-28, 35

the Moses story [the Jews under Egypt's controls] up to Joshua somewhat mirrors Christ & the Jews under the Romans

 

8: & PREVAILED NOT; NEITHER WAS THEIR PLACE FOUND ANY MORE IN HEAVEN.

9: & THE GREAT DRAGON WAS CAST OUT, THAT OLD SERPENT, CALLED THE DEVIL & SATAN, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD: HE WAS CAST OUT INTO THE EARTH, & HIS ANGELS WERE CAST OUT WITH HIM

to repeat, where would be the perfect place for Satan to hide, & still do its' deeds?       

- the devil was cast from Heaven & is on the Earth deceiving the whole of the Earth

Satan is known by a number of names in Revelations such as dragon, great red dragon, & beast

- two translations of the devil differ greatly.  One is from the Hebrew word, 'tan,' & is plural, usually from the desert. Job 30:29; Ps. 44:19; Isa. 34:13 & 43:20; Jer. 9:11 apply to this creature inhabiting the desert, a wild beast rather than a serpent.      

- the other 'Tannin,' a form for 'jackal,' refers to any monster relating to the serpent of Gen; Exodus 7:9, 10, 12; Deut. 32:33; Ps 91:13 & of course Rev. 12: 3, 4, 7, 9, 16, & 17. This later version shows possession in a form of itself

 

10: & I HEARD A GREAT VOICE IN HEAVEN SAYING; NOW HAS COME THE SALVATION, & THE POWER, & THE KINGDOM OF OUR GOD, & THE AUTHORITY OF HIS CHRIST, FOR THE ACCUSER OF OUR BRETHREN IS CAST OUT HE THAT ACCUSED THEM BEFORE OUR GOD DAY & NIGHT.

11: & THEY OVERCAME HIM BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB, & BECAUSE OF THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY; & THEY LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES UNTO THEIR DEATH

12: THEREFORE REJOICE, YE HEAVENS, & YE THAT DWELL IN THEM.

ALAS FOR THE EARTH & THE SEA,  FOR THE DEVIL IS COME DOWN UNTO YOU HAVING GREAT WRATH,  KNOWING HE HATH BUT A SHORT TIME        

'Short time' is used meaning not 'to live' but 'to act'       

Sea & land denote a warning to the world

 

13: & WHEN THE DRAGON SAW THAT HE WAS CAST UNTO THE EARTH, HE PERSECUTED THE WOMAN WHO HAD BROUGHT FORTH THE MAN CHILD.

14: & THERE WERE GIVEN TO THE WOMAN WERE GIVEN TWO WINGS OF A GREAT EAGLE,

THAT SHE MIGHT FLY INTO THE WILDERNESS, TO HER PLACE, WHERE SHE IS NOURISHED FOR

A TIME, & TIMES, & HALF A TIME, FROM THE FACE OF THE SERPENT.

15: & THE SERPENT CAST OUT OF HIS MOUTH  AFTER THE WOMAN AS A RIVER, THAT SHE MIGHT CARRY AWAY WITH A FLOOD

AFTER THE WOMAN, THAT HE MIGHT CAUSE HER TO BE CARRIED AWAY OF THE FLOOD.

16: & THE EARTH HELPED THE WOMAN, & THE EARTH OPENED HER MOUTH, & SWALLOWED UP THE RIVER THAT THE DRAGON CAST OUT OF HIS MOUTH        

The flood, utterances from Satan, is what She spreads to Her followers. Enough has been said of her sins to mankind.  She locks her doors & becomes Lukewarm to the needy.  Much of these faults are indirectly being taught to the off-spring, the Reformation.

- both water & earth are life - fed by a flood of blasphemies thru Satan & swallowed up by all who were a part of her

- to be fed a TIME, & TIMES, & HALF A TIME - another form of the 1260 years [a Time = 1 year & Times= 2 years & 1/2 Time = 1/2 year - 360 days plus 720 days plus 180 days or 1260 days/years]         

The papacy, being fed by Satan 'FROM THE FACE' says enough on who is the master feeding Christianity

The world was in ignorance for more than a thousand years of the papacy's existence        

 

17: & THE DRAGON WAS WROTH WITH THE WOMAN, & WENT TO MAKE WAR WITH THE REST OF HER CHILDREN, THAT KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, & HOLD THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS

Went after the Reformation as well; the earth swallowed up his/her teachings as truths; the Reformation becomes Satan's victim from its birth

The speed of the eagle has been denoted as the speed of Satan
