Revelation 3

The Reformation

 

1: & UNTO THE ANGEL OF THE CHURCH IN SARDIS WRITE; THESE THINGS SAITH HE THAT HATH THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD, & THE SEVEN STARS; I KNOW THY WORKS, THAT THOU HAST A NAME THAT THOU LIVEST, & ART DEAD

• SARDIS 'that which remains' - The Reformation - keeps the Christian name, even though its pure roots are now dead

• The stars have already been translated as angels, messengers with notice. 

• Christianity could not become any more unscrupulous; therefore this new chapter continues the seven church stages, only in a different direction for a short space of time.

 

2: BE WATCHFUL, & STRENGTHEN THE THINGS WHICH REMAIN, THAT ARE READY TO DIE: FOR I HAVE NOT FOUND THY WORKS PERFECT BEFORE GOD

• He cautions the daughters, the Reformation - they mean well but that they have been established with faulty fruits from the very place they are withdrawing, the Mother & her centuries of designed traditions - not to forget that the mother also developed from the Synagogue & utilized its flaws

• GIVE YOUR RICHES TO THE POOR & FOLLOW ME - Christianity continues to exist with its title, but is dead to what was its genuine inception. The idea of giving to the poor, feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, & clothing the naked has become 'pilfer from all, including the wretched & the penniless & give to the church.' What is embraced is greed, self-aggrandizement, power, corruption & murder. 

 

3: REMEMBER THEREFORE HOW THOU HAST RECEIVED & HEARD, & HOLD FAST, & REPENT. IF THEREFORE THOU SHALT NOT WATCH, I WILL COME ON THEE AS A THIEF, & THOU SHALT NOT KNOW WHAT HOUR I WILL COME UPON THEE

• Again, remember that the mother was your guide & her practices & some of her canons might become yours. 

• The Reformation begins under Luther declaring the burning down of the synagogues & using Jewish labor as slaves, mirrored from the papacy - establishes the Reformation's roots with hatred

 

4: THOU HAST A FEW NAMES EVEN IN SARDIS WHICH HAVE NOT DEFILED THEIR GARMENTS; & THEY SHALL WALK WITH ME IN WHITE: FOR THEY ARE WORTHY. HE THAT OVERCOMETH, THE SAME SHALL BE CLOTHED IN WHITE RAIMENT; & I WILL NOT BLOT OUT HIS NAME OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE, BUT I WILL CONFESS HIS NAME BEFORE MY FATHER, & BEFORE HIS ANGELS

• White raiment - from Zechariah 3:4 & 5, & from Revelation 19:18 - is the exchanging of iniquity for righteousness

• Book of Life [the souls' histories] - not tree of life - goes with verse 12, 'Go out no more' 

• The Almighty has the Book & our names [the actions of our souls] must be entered before admission to Heaven & God; only then do we not to take part in the second death (later).

 

6: HE THAT HATH AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAITH UNTO THE CHURCHES

• Christ cannot be clearer - He is talking to Christianity.

 

7: & TO THE ANGEL OF THE CHURCH IN PHILADELPHIA WRITE; THESE THINGS SAITH HE THAT IS HOLY, HE THAT IS TRUE, HE THAT HATH THE KEY OF DAVID, HE THAT OPENETH, & NO MAN SHUTTETH; & SHUTTETH, & NO MAN OPENETH;

• PHILADELPHIA 'brotherly love' 1798 to Armageddon 

• The keys are the authority & power .

• In the 1st chapter Christ receives the keys of hell & death - not life & death. With this authority He states He is the only One who can open the administration & no one else can close it - only He can close the administration & no one else can open it

 

8: I KNOW THY WORKS: BEHOLD, I HAVE SET BEFORE THEE AN OPEN DOOR, & NO MAN CAN SHUT IT: FOR THOU HAST A LITTLE STRENGTH, & HAST KEPT MY WORD, & HAST NOT DENIED MY NAME

• The administration is open to those seeking entry to Heaven - only Christ is capable of closing the door, which He will. After Armageddon the doors will be closed for another 458 years - related on later.

• WE OF LITTLE STRENGTH are those who may not belong to a great church of Christ's, maybe only understand that treating all with understanding & love is maybe getting treated back in a similar manner - basically following Christ's teachings whether you believe in Him or not

 

9: BEHOLD, I WILL MAKE THEM OF THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN, WHICH SAY THEY ARE JEWS, & ARE NOT, BUT DO LIE; BEHOLD, I WILL MAKE THEM TO COME & WORSHIP BEFORE THY FEET, & TO KNOW THAT I HAVE LOVED THEE

• Again the meaning of church in John's times held a far different meaning - synagogue existed & was the name used 

• Christ compares Christianity to Judaism of the past when Satan invaded the synagogue. He relates again that Satan has invaded Christianity - Jews being those trusting in the same God of Scripture - already defined. 

• Modern Christian teachers are going to have a hard time showing how Christ is going to make these people worship before thy feet when all are supposedly dead & rise together. Christian leaders often teach that there is a heaven & a hell - that on a Judgment day we will all rise together & will be divided into one place or the other. The Mystery is more logical

 

10: BECAUSE THOU HAST KEPT THE WORD OF MY PATIENCE, I ALSO WILL KEEP THEE FROM THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION, WHICH SHALL COME UPON ALL THE WORLD, TO TRY THEM THAT DWELL UPON THE EARTH

• Heaven enlightens those seeking the route, thru SACRIFICE, UNDERSTANDING & AGAINST ALL HATRED, GREED, & REVENGE.

• We are led into temptation from the start - the fall from heaven, so to speak.

• - We are tested in Satan's domain, the earth & can be led astray - whereas Satan could very easily fit the descriptions - Ephesians 2:2 WHEREIN, IN TIME PAST YE WALKED ACCORDING TO THE COURSE OF THIS WORLD, ACCORDING TO THE "THE PRINCE OF THE AIR" THE SPIRIT THAT NOW WORKETH IN THE CHILDREN OF DISOBEDIENCE - Why would anyone of sane mind think that Christ is Prince of the Air - TV, porno, & all the sick shit that goes thru the waves of the air is & has been corrupting millions of children minds, as well as adults - the obvious prince is the one who owns the Earth, Satan

• When we reach salvation we can return home.

• As stated before, perhaps why many die young - to live longer is to learn more of Satan's ways - some may have completed their journey

 

11: BEHOLD, I COME QUICKLY: HOLD THAT FAST WHICH THOU HAST, THAT NO MAN TAKE THY CROWN.

12: HIM THAT OVERCOMETH WILL I MAKE A PILLAR IN THE TEMPLE OF MY GOD, & HE SHALL GO OUT NO MORE: & I WILL WRITE UPON HIM THE NAME OF MY GOD, & THE NAME OF THE CITY OF MY GOD, WHICH IS NEW JERUSALEM, WHICH COMETH DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN FROM MY GOD: & I WILL WRITE UPON HIM MY NEW NAME

• Christ asserts with 'GO OUT NO MORE' that we do enter in & out of Heaven, but that those who do conquer this period shall no longer have to go out into temptation - again, perhaps why some die young  

• THE NAME OF MY GOD - is Christ stating HE HAS A GOD THAT WE DO NOT HAVE? He did not say, 'The name of our God', but His God

• - He uses 'FATHER' for our God. We know there is more than one heaven - or there are a lot of misprints throughout the Bible

• The New Jerusalem will be shown later as the new Earth.   

• Christ states that He shall use another name, which seems logical

 

13: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.  14: & UNTO THE ANGEL OF THE CHURCH OF THE LAODICEAN WRITE; THESE THINGS SAITH THE AMEN, THE FAITHFUL & TRUE WITNESS, & THE BEGINNING OF THE CREATION OF GOD;

• Laodicean translates to the 'Justice of the People' which this era is all about    

• Christ is affirming He is the witness to all that has transpired & will occur   

• This phrase, 'FAITHFUL & TRUE,' reverses word order later on to 'TRUE & FAITHFUL' - then returns to the same order, showing a return to the original time & place - much like going to the end of chapter 7 - then returning back to all that has already been written beginning with a new chapter, only a different approach or view towards the same character.

 

15: I KNOW THY WORKS, THAT THOU ART

NEITHER COLD NOR HOT

I WOULD THOU WERT COLD OR HOT

16: SO THEN BECAUSE

 THOU ART LUKEWARM

NEITHER COLD NOR HOT,

I WILL SPUE THEE OUT OF MY MOUTH

• Logic points out the design of these three temperatures         

• - the Hot are those who somewhat understand Christ's teachings & are doing His bidding      

• - the Cold are those who do not understand His teachings, & yet still do His bidding; - the atheist perhaps, who lives & practices caring for others      

• - the Lukewarm are those with more than they need, blind & deaf to poverty, never entertain the thought of sharing with the poor.

• - not just the religious institutes & TV gods, but all who refuse to see & aid the needy;

• - these in-between shall suffer Christ's wrath greatly (the ones who shall wail as they become in need)

 

17: BECAUSE THOU SAYEST, I AM RICH & INCREASED WITH GOODS, & HAVE NEED OF NOTHING; & KNOWEST NOT THAT THOU ART WRETCHED, & MISERABLE, & POOR, & BLIND, & NAKED:

• Verse 17 described the Lukewarm well

 

18:7 HOW MUCH SHE HATH GLORIFIED HERSELF, & LIVED DELICIOUSLY, SO MUCH TORMENT & SORROW GIVE HER: FOR SHE SAITH IN HER HEART,

I SIT A QUEEN

AM NO WIDOW

SHALL SEE NO SORROW

• what better portrayal for the Papacy as she aged - of the so many rich  who can not take the time to aide the needy without some kind of recognition; those getting richer by creating drives for charity while filling their pockets

 

18: I COUNSEL THEE TO BUY OF ME GOLD TRIED IN THE FIRE, THAT THOU MAYEST BE RICH; & WHITE RAIMENT, THAT THOU MAYEST BE CLOTHED, & THAT THE SHAME OF THY NAKEDNESS DO NOT APPEAR; & ANOINT THINE EYES WITH EYESALVE, THAT THOU MAYEST SEE

• Nakedness is the soul exposed for what it is - the evil deeds as well as righteousness

• He says it is never too late to open one's eyes

 

20: BEHOLD, I STAND AT THE DOOR, & KNOCK: IF ANY MAN HEAR MY VOICE, & OPEN THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN TO HIM, & WILL SUP WITH HIM, & HE WITH ME. 21: TO HIM THAT OVERCOMETH WILL I GRANT TO SIT WITH ME IN MY THRONE

EVEN AS I ALSO OVERCAME

• open your heart to His words, He is there

• He states He was at one time in the same position as we now are - past tense 'OVER CAME'  We can mirror Christ's Way - He was where now are & we can go forward in time to where He is.

& AM SET DOWN WITH MY FATHER IN HIS THRONE

Christ ends his verbal communication to John for now.        

• - He was where we are 

• - He overcame.

• - He has a God we do not have 

• - He has a Father which is our God. 

• - He will be our Father/God 

• - we can be the sons of God.

• - we can have a star, should that be the design, 

• - & we can go the direction He has already taken
